Broadcom: With Next Year’s Revenue Doubling, A Buy That’s Cheaper Than It Looks (AVGO)

I write TrendyVest, and I only cover one thing: the money moving through artificial intelligence. I started it because I kept watching enormous sums get committed on the strength of revenue that didn’t exist yet, and nobody seemed to be going back to check. So that’s the job now. Someone puts out a number. I figure out where it has to show up, and then I go see whether it did. I chase that question through four places: the buildout itself, where capital spending has to square with depreciation, foundry and memory economics, and the hard limits of power and land; the integration, where seats sold have to turn into revenue earned and “AI revenue” is too often old revenue wearing a new name; biotech, where a promised timeline has to meet an actual readout date; and the banks, where an efficiency claim is only real once it shows up in an expense line.I’m a fundamentals person and a skeptic, and I run on receipts. Filings, call transcripts, primary releases — not headlines, not someone’s thread. I won’t print a price without the minute I saw it, and I won’t call something a close until two independent feeds agree on it. When the math is mine, I say so and show the inputs, so you can redo it or throw it out. A claim gets called a claim. A hypothetical gets labeled in the sentence, not buried in a footnote. And every long piece ends with the specific numbers and dates that will prove me right or wrong, because I’d rather you grade me than trust me. Lately that’s meant a two-segment model of where Amazon lands by 2028, a close look at MaxLinear’s spot in the optical bottleneck, a dig into the memory shortage inside the AI data center, and a three-part series on the rack’s shift from copper to optics. My sector focus is semiconductors, cloud infrastructure, optical networking, and the hyperscalers, with a growing interest in the power and memory supply chains that constrain all of them, and in the small- and mid-cap companies the buildout is repricing. I also run the TrendyVest Championship, a free simulated-stake trading tournament. I write on Seeking Alpha for the same reason I write TrendyVest: because the AI trade is the largest capital commitment of this generation, most of the commentary about it is unsourced, and investors deserve analysis that shows its work, says what would prove it wrong, and comes back on the date it promised to. Readers who want the daily version can find the Morning Brief at trendyvest.com, and I am on X at @TrendyVest.
